Sam Ritchie, the owner of Valley Arborists, has been passionate about the outdoors since 2012. Originally studying geology, Sam shifted his focus to conservation roles on the North Island, where he gained valuable experience in trapping and pest-plant control. Upon returning to Dunedin, Sam embarked on a new journey, working for a local tree arborist and quickly advancing into an apprenticeship. His dedication and skill led him to qualify as an arborist, and by 2018, Sam launched his own business, bringing his expertise and love for trees to the community.
